Military-style assault weapons give gunmen the ability to quickly fire many rounds without reloading. The shootings in Aurora and Tucson show there's a need to regulate these guns. There was a 1994 Assault Weapons Ban that curbed crime and violence. A study found that ban was effective in reducing gun murders by 6.7%. Assault weapons were used in 2/3 less crimes from 1994 - 2003. Stop the senseless deaths.
