Of course we should ban it. Facebook uses up so much of our free time with silly games and advertising. We must shut it down immediately and get back to reading old-fashioned books. Our children would be so much more educated, civilized and well-behaved! Whatever happened to picking up the darn phone or talking to your next door neighbor?

What do you mean "Our children would be so much more educated, civilized and well-behaved."? Kids are giving up on Facebook because their parents are the ones using it now. I know more parents using Facebook than kids. On the other hand, I totally agree that picking up the phone and talking to the next door neighbor are skills that should not be lost. Unfortunately the computer age with its gaming, instant messaging, texting, etc has pretty much destroyed that.
