You should definitely set up an LLC if you're a personal trainer and have started growing your business. Single-member LLC's are legal. If someone files a complaint (e.g. for an injury allegedly caused by you or one of your employees) you won't be held personally liable like you would under a sole proprietorship. The company will bear that burden. If you're considering purchasing the property where your business is located you can form an entity to hold the title and a separate one to run the business. The business' liabilities are therefore shielded from the property assets. If you have doubts it's always a good idea to get professional advice on your specific situation.
