Many women prefer having children in succession. This is a good idea, not only for the parents but the children as well. Siblings are better off being close in age. Brothers and sisters with large age gaps have a harder time bonding. The young ones can feel a sense of detachment from the older and the older may get jealous the younger is receiving more attention after they were the only child.
